Frozen fountain

These photos were taken on an extremely cold January morning in 2014 in Mobile, Alabama. I became fascinated by what I was seeing in the small fountain hanging on my balcony. The frozen droplets of water creating such intricately beautiful designs, including small particles of algae from the fountain water and the play with light and shadow had me intrigued for hours in the freezing air.
